Armed Robbery Suspect Charged
Dalton Police Investigator Matthew Locke has obtained warrants for the arrest of Charles Antwan Robinson, 30 years of age, of Chattanooga Tennessee. Robinson is believed to be responsible for several stolen cars in Dalton, and robberies in Dalton and Ringgold, Georgia as well as several robberies in the Chattanooga and Red Bank Tennessee area. He has been arrested and charged by Tennessee authorities and is currently in custody in the Hamilton County Jail. The investigation is continuing to identify the other two suspects in the Dalton robbery case.
The armed robbery occurred at the Favorite Market at 2000 Chattanooga Road in Dalton at approximately 5:07 a.m. on March 4th, 2007. Surveillance cameras recorded the robbery and suspects in the crime. Robinson is seen in the surveillance footage wearing a fur coat. Robinson and another suspect entered the store, produced a weapon, threatened the employee and robbed the store of an undisclosed amount of cash. They then fled the scene in an unidentified vehicle.
