Dalton Citizens Police Academy Graduation

Eighteen Dalton residents recently graduated from the 15th annual Dalton Police Department's Citizen Police Academy.  The graduation ceremony was held at the North West Georgia Trade and Convention Center.  The graduation recognized the graduates for completing 10 weeks (30 hours) of instruction into the inner working of the police department.

The ceremony brought all graduates and their guests together for dinner and the receiving of a diploma showing the department's appreciation for their time and input in the class.

The next Citizen Police Academy is scheduled for the Spring of 2008.  If you are interested in attending, please contact Sergeant Mike Dyer at 706-278-9085 extension 109.  Space is limited and the slots generally fill up well in advance of the start of the academy.
