March 2nd is Dr. Seuss' birthday, and an officer from the Dalton Police Department helped pre-schoolers at First Baptist Church celebrate by reading some of his stories. Officer Brian Pack was invited to read to the three year olds' class at the FBC pre-school Tuesday morning as part of the school's observance of National Reading Day, which coincides with Dr. Seuss' birthday.
Officer Pack read "Green Eggs and Ham" to the class, Dr. Seuss' story about Sam I Am's favorite breakfast dish. He also read Dr. Seuss' "I Can Read With My Eyes Shut", although actually reading with his eyes shut proved to be a challenge.
